WHAT'S HAPPENING

NOVA OPENING WOMAN'S INVITATIONAL. The Woman's Invitational Show opened at NOVA Gallery January 12 and will run until. February 15. NOVA is downtown at 1240 Huron Mall. The month-long exhibit includes works in a variety of media by nine women as " well as several other events related to women participating in all the arts. The exhibit focuses on the issues being developed by individual artists. A small number of srtists was chosen so that each artist could be given ample space to present her point of view.

The individual artists are:

COALITION of LABOR UNION WOMEN

At the January 26th meeting of CLUW there will be a program on the History of Women in the Labor Union's. Come to the AFSCME hall at 1925 St. Clair, at 2 p.m. All women are welcome at our programs. The program will be followed by a membership meeting..

On February 23rd, CLUW will present a program and question and answer session on Knowing Your Legal Rights. You will learn about grievances, sex discrimination cases, the EEOC and how to protect your rights as a working woman.

WANTED: POETRY by WOMEN

We are presently accepting manuscrips for a collection of poetry by Cleveland area women. Its size, scope, structure and slant will be determined in whole by what we receive as contributions. Artwork will be used; correspondence regarding same should be initiated. Initial payment will be in contributors' copies. All rights retained by authors. We are not nec essarily looking for "feminist" poetry; we are looking for Cleveland poetry. This will receive considerable distribution outside of Cleveland.
